R.E.C.O.N. (Rock Envy Crawlers of Nevada), is a r/c rock crawling club that embraces the adventure of competition. R.E.C.O.N. Drivers vary in skill level, from the 12 and under 2.2 Novice Class known as the Recon Rangers to the competitve 2.2 Pro Class. Our drivers, regardless of experience, all seek the adventure found in r/c rock crawling. As an elite club, R.E.C.O.N. is dedicated to ensuring our drivers with a comp enviorment that is family friendly, competitive, and fun. Adventure has a name...R.E.C.O.N.
Mission Statement
R.E.C.O.N. has a goal to help drivers be the best r/c rock crawler that they can be. R.E.C.O.N. will achieve this goal by constant commitment to driver training, designing chanllenging courses, rewarding good driving, and instituting the values of sportsmanship. R.E.C.O.N. understands that success does not come without adversity and how a driver handles adversity defines thier character. R.E.C.O.N. will encourage drivers to strive for success, but to accept adversity with professionalism and integrety. R.E.C.O.N. will provide leadership to its drivers through a family friendly club enviorment.
Membership
Welcome to R.E.C.O.N. As r/c rock crawlers, we wanted more; more incentive, more fun, more family orientated outlook, and more unity. RECON, as a club, wanted more for its drivers. I believe what we have come up with is a great start, but RECON will not stop. We will continue to strive for more membership perks and pass those on to our members.
A driver will receive with a paid membership, the RECON Dog Tag. This “tag” will be your membership passport to perks. The “tag” will have the following info on it: recon crawler, driver name, club name, chapter location, 2.2 pro or 2.2 novice (if applicable), and membership status.
Until the end of the year, any driver that becomes a RECON tag-toting member will be considered a “founding member”. As a “founding member”, your annual family membership fee will never increase and the price of your local club comp, if any, will always be the same.
All memberships taken after the first of the year will display the month and year that you joined.
All tag-toting members who finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at any comp will receive a RECON Dog Tag for their accomplishment. The “tag’ will have the comp info, drivers name, club, chapter location and podium finish spot. RECON rewards good driving.
All tag-toting members are considered a RECON TEAM DRIVER. As a tag-toting member, recon offers a driver team shirts at cost. The shirt has the RECON logos front and back .Team Driver on the left sleeve and your club name/chapter location on the right sleeve.
RECON understands that some drivers seek more adventure from competitions, than other drivers. For those adventurous drivers that are members, RECON will reward these drivers with an extra enccentive program; the R.E.C.O.N. ELITE DRIVER shirt.
This shirt is a button up with a collar and will have the drivers name on the left breast, just under the words “RECON ELITE”. The “ELITE” driver will receive for a podium finish a RECON DOG TAG along with a “patch” to be placed on the shirts to be displayed. ( Directions on shirt placement locations will be given to the driver.)
To qualify for the RECON ELITE DRIVER program, a driver must travel to 10 away comps, not hosted by their local club. The comps must be posted on RCC in the competitions section with the results. A driver should always send a link to RECON or the drivers local Chapter Contact, if available.
As a tag-toting member, show your tag at a participating events registration table to receive lower entry fees. This may not apply to certain areas, since some clubs do not charge an entry fee or recognize RECON members.
